The Global Youth Leaders Network (GYLeN) is an international, youth-led platform designed to identify, empower, connect, and amplify young leaders across the world to contribute meaningfully to global policy, sustainable development, diplomacy, climate action, peacebuilding, and social innovation. GYLeN operates through a structured global–regional–national framework, ensuring both strategic coherence at the international level and strong grassroots impact at the country level. GYLeN aims to serve as a bridge between youth, institutions, and global decision-making spaces, particularly the United Nations system, governments, multilateral organizations, academia, and civil society. Despite increased recognition of youth as key stakeholders in global development, meaningful youth participation in policy formulation and implementation remains limited and uneven across regions. Many youth initiatives lack: - Structured global coordination - Clear leadership pipelines - Institutional credibility - Long-term sustainability GYLeN responds to these gaps by creating a formalized, accountable, and inclusive global youth network with clear governance, defined roles, and measurable impact aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
